Lifting Technology Limited was formed in 2004 to further a joint venture between Translyft Ergo A/S of Denmark and the Translyft department of F. Parr Ltd of Redditch.
Sales of Translyft scissor action lift tables have increased significantly since Translyft UK became the sole distributors and service provider for the lifts in the UK in 2000.
Merse Holdings, the owners of F. Parr Ltd, have formed the new company in partnership with the Danish manufacturer, using the marketing strap line from under the registered trademark 'Translyft' (introduced during 2001) as the company name.

Although the Translyft electro hydraulic powered tables have been distributed in the UK for over twenty years through various trade distributors, sales of lifts have accelerated significantly since the proactive market approach by Translyft and Lifting Technology in conjunction with changing Health and Safety policy and developments in the logistics market.
