| Translyft Lifting Technology install a goods lift at Windsor |
| The team from Translyft Lifting Technology have installed a goods lift in Cumberland Lodge, a beautiful listed building in the heart of Windsor Great Park that was once occupied by The Queen Mother. |
| Today, the building is used for hospitality and conference events, and the goods lift is needed to take goods from ground level to a basement. |
| The challenge for Lifting Technology was producing a goods lift that was sympathetic to the existing structure and environment, and which met health and safety requirements. |
| Lifting Technology’s Head of Design Mike Greenland created a solution using a Perspex backing plate that showcased the ornate guarding on the upper level that perfectly complemented the period architecture. The goods lift is ‘safe by position’ with interlocked gates at the top and on the lift platform and has a capacity of 1000Kg. |
| George Scholes, Managing Director of Translyft Lifting Technology commented that ‘This is yet another example of our flexibility with our bespoke solutions. Mike Greenland, our senior design engineer worked closely with the project architects to produce a unique and appropriate solution’ |
